Resort Fee Recreation Amenities

The $25 resort fee is charged per room, per night and includes access to select recreation amenities during your stay. Included amenities feature beach access, beach chairs, kids’ toys, sand toys, beach games, kayaks, fishing poles and tackle, marina use, resort classes, tours, overnight guest parking, and select seasonal activities. The resort fee also includes waterpark access beginning Labor Day weekend.

Beach Rentals and Amenities

Beach amenities are available on a first come, first served basis and include beach chairs, kids’ toys, sand toys, beach games, and kayaks. Kayaks may be used for the day when available. Beach rentals can be booked online at /beach-rentals.

Resort Classes and Tours

Resort classes and tours are included in the resort fee and can be booked at the resort. Activities may include kids’ crafts, hiking tours, kayaking courses, fishing activities, and other seasonal recreation programming.

Kayak Rentals

Kayaks are available through the resort and marina during recreation hours. Life jackets are provided with rentals. Kayak use is based on availability.

Pontoon Rentals

Pontoon rentals are available for overnight resort guests. Pontoons are rented with a full tank of gas, and rentals are based on availability. Fuel is not available at the marina for private boats.

E-Bike Rentals

E-bike rentals are available for guests looking to explore the resort and surrounding trails. E-bikes are not included in the resort fee. Overnight guests receive discounts on e-bike rentals.

Golf Cart Rentals

Golf cart rentals are available for resort guests, external accommodation guests, and community members. Rentals are based on availability. External accommodation guests and community members must purchase a recreation pass to rent a golf cart, and community golf carts must remain on resort property.

Marina Hours and Rentals

The marina is open dawn to dusk. Marina rentals include kayaks, fishing equipment, bait, and life jackets. Worms are available in the marina fridge.

Fishing Licenses and Bait

Fishing equipment, tackle, and bait are available through the resort and marina. Fishing licenses are available at the front desk and can also be purchased online from a phone.

Boat Slips

Boat slips are available for overnight resort guests on a first come, first served basis.

Waterpark Access

Waterpark access is included in the resort fee beginning Labor Day weekend. Day passes are available for a fee based on availability. Waterpark day passes are $30 per person for adults and children.

Trails and Maps

Trail maps are available at the front desk and online. Guests can explore the resort trails on their own or join guided hiking tours through resort recreation programming.

Weekly Resort Events

Weekly events run from opening weekend through the last week of September. Monday features Bingo in the Bar, Tuesday features Trivia Tuesday in the Restaurant, Thursday features Karaoke on the Patio, and Friday features a Cornhole Tournament.

Community Recreation Events

Honey Creek Resort hosts select community recreation events throughout the season. These may include lawn concerts, outdoor movie nights, seasonal waterpark events, kite nights, cardboard boat races, and other family-friendly programming.

Recreation Passes

Recreation passes are available for external accommodation guests and community members. Community pricing is available with proof of address for Appanoose, Davis, Monroe, Lucas, or Wayne County.

Fitness Center and Fitness Passes

Overnight guests have access to the 24-hour fitness center. The fitness center currently includes treadmills and weights, with additional fitness equipment arriving in August. Fitness passes are available for non-overnight guests.

Pavilion Use and Recreation Areas

The pavilion is available for public use when not reserved. Guests who want to secure the pavilion for a private event must rent it through the resort and complete an event form. Reserved pavilion events must use Honey Creek catering and bar service.

Campfires and Quiet Hours

Campfires are allowed only in designated firepits. Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily.
