Resort Fee & Included Amenities

A $25 resort fee is charged per room, per night. The resort fee includes waterpark access beginning Labor Day weekend, beach access, beach chairs, kids’ toys and sand toys, beach games, kayaks, resort classes, resort tours, kids’ crafts, hiking tours, fishing poles and tackle, marina use, and overnight parking for resort guests. Beach amenities are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and guests can keep an available kayak for the day when available. Resort guests also receive discounts on select rentals, including e-bikes, pontoons, and golf carts. Select resort rentals can be booked online.

Cancellations & Reservation Changes

Lodge room and cabin reservations must be cancelled at least 24 hours before arrival to avoid a penalty of one night’s room and tax. No-shows and late cancellations are also charged one night’s room and tax. Guests who booked on the website can modify their reservation online using their confirmation number. Group blocks, weddings, meetings, and special packages follow the cancellation terms in the signed contract.

Check-In, Check-Out & Late Arrivals

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. The front desk is staffed 24/7. Late arrivals can check in at the front desk, and calling ahead is appreciated. Guests need to check in before 2:30 AM. Early check-in requests are based on availability and have a $25 fee. Late check-out requests are based on availability and have a $25 fee until 1:00 PM or a $75 fee until 4:00 PM. Cabin guests check in at the main lodge.

RV Sites & Hookups

Each pull-through paved RV site is equipped with 50/30/20 Amp full hookups and features a picnic table and fire pit. Tents are not permitted. Each site allows one vehicle. A $25 resort fee per night is added to RV reservations. Wi-Fi is not available in the RV park. Registered RV guests receive site and arrival instructions before their stay.

Lodge Rooms & Cabins

All lodge rooms and cabins are non-smoking. Occupancy details are listed with each room and cabin type. Cabins include full kitchens with dishes, cookware, silverware, glasses, coffee mugs, and basic utensils. Kitchen sizes vary by cabin type. Cabin fireplaces are functional year-round, and cabins include private porches and a state park-style grill located near the cabin. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in cabins on the HoneyCreek_guest network. Rollaways are available in select lodge room types for a $10 fee. Rollaways are not available in cabins. Accessible rooms and cabins are bookable online.

The Preserve Golf Course

Golf questions and golf course policies are handled directly by The Preserve. Tee times can be booked through The Preserve’s website or through the Honey Creek front desk once guests are on property. Discounted rounds of golf can be added to a reservation when the reservation is made. The Preserve is about one mile from the lodge, and cabin distances vary but are less than one mile.

Dog-Friendly Stays

Honey Creek lodging is dog-friendly for a fee. The dog policy is limited to dogs only, with a maximum of two dogs per room or cabin and a 50-pound weight limit. The fee is $35 per night, per dog. Guests need to disclose dogs at booking. Dogs are welcome in dog-friendly lodging and resort outdoor areas, including trails, and must be leashed. Dogs are not allowed at the beach, Harbor 72, or restaurant outdoor seating areas, except ADA service animals.

Harbor 72 Dining

Harbor 72 serves lunch daily from 10:30 AM–2:00 PM. Dinner is served Sunday–Thursday from 4:00 PM–9:00 PM and Friday–Saturday from 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Full-service breakfast is available on weekends from 7:00 AM–10:30 AM. Harbor 72 offers indoor and outdoor seating on property. Reservations are not required. The patio is not dog-friendly except for ADA service animals.

Rathbun Roast Coffee & 24-Hour General Store

Rathbun Roast coffee service is open daily from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The general store is open 24 hours a day and offers pantry food items, grab-and-go essentials, and quick items for cabin stays, lake days, meetings, marina visits, and road trips.

To-Go Dining & Pickup Orders

Room service begins after the summer season. Pizza and wings service begins after Fourth of July weekend for cabins, RV sites, and marina guests. Pizza and wings can be ordered online for pickup, with payment completed online at the time of order. Pantry food items are available at the 24-hour general store.

Beach Rentals, Classes & Tours

Beach rentals can be booked online through the Beach Rentals page. Beach amenities included in the resort fee are available on a first-come, first-served basis and include beach access, chairs, kids’ toys and sand toys, beach games, and kayaks. Guests can keep an available kayak for the day. Life jackets are provided with rentals. Resort classes and tours can be booked at the resort and are included in the resort fee.

Waterpark & Hot Tubs

The waterpark opens Labor Day weekend, and resort guest access is included in the resort fee. Waterpark day passes are available for $30 per person once the waterpark opens. The day pass rate is the same for adults and children, and day passes are based on availability. The waterpark includes hot tub access beginning Labor Day weekend. Presidential Suites also include hot tubs.

Marina & Rathbun Lake

Marina hours are dawn to dusk. Marina use is included in the resort fee. Marina rentals include kayaks, fishing equipment, and bait, with worms available in the marina fridge. Life jackets are provided with rentals. Marina rentals do not need to be made in advance and are based on availability. Fishing licenses are available at the front desk, and guests can also purchase fishing licenses online from their phones. Pontoon rentals are available only to overnight resort guests and can be booked online, based on availability. Boat slips are available for overnight resort guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Fuel is not available at the marina for private boats. Honey Creek pontoons are rented with a full tank of gas.

Wi-Fi, EV Charging & Guest Services

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in cabins on the HoneyCreek_guest network. Wi-Fi is not available in the RV park. Three EV charging stations are available in the parking lot. Ice machines are located on the first, second, and third floors. Coin-operated guest laundry machines are located on the second and third floors. Dry cleaning is not available.

Fitness Center

The fitness center is open 24 hours a day. Current equipment includes treadmills and weights. Additional fitness equipment arrives in August.

Trails, Maps & Outdoor Amenities

Guests can explore mixed-use hiking and biking trails in the Honey Creek and Rathbun Lake area, with approximately 25 miles of trails around the resort area. Trail and resort maps are available at the front desk and online. Hiking tours are included in the resort fee and can be booked at the resort. The resort also has a playground and picnic areas. Parking is complimentary, and overnight parking is included for resort guests.

Quiet Hours, Campfires & Outdoor Use

Quiet hours are 10:00 PM–8:00 AM every day. Campfires are allowed only in designated firepits.

Pavilion Use & Rentals

The pavilion is available for public use unless it is reserved for a private event or resort event. Guests who want guaranteed pavilion use need to reserve it by submitting an event form. Reserved signs are posted when the pavilion is unavailable. Guests can call the front desk to ask about pavilion availability. Honey Creek may close or restrict pavilion access for resort events, private rentals, or operational needs.

Alcohol, Catering & Outside Food

Select alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at the Beach House and the 24-hour general store. Outside alcohol is not permitted in the pavilion. Pavilion rentals use Honey Creek catering and bar service, and outside food and beverage are not permitted for rented pavilion events.

Groups, Weddings & Events

Groups can book cabins and lodge rooms together. Wedding and event guests can book online with a group code. Group blocks follow the cancellation and reservation terms in the signed contract.
